Overview
The Investment Analyst supports the investment team by conducting market research, financial analysis, and due diligence for potential investments. This role requires strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail, and a keen understanding of global financial markets. The analyst plays a critical role in providing data-driven insights that support strategic investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct market and industry research to identify investment trends and opportunities.
Perform financial modeling, valuation, and sensitivity analysis for various investment projects.
Assist in preparing investment proposals, presentations, and performance reports.
Collect, organize, and interpret data on financial performance, macroeconomic indicators, and sector developments.
Support due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, or equity investments.
Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
Collaborate with other analysts, portfolio managers, and external consultants to improve investment strategies.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Reports directly to Investment Manager / Managing Director
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline.
1–3 years of experience in investment analysis, equity research, or financial advisory (new graduates with strong analytical skills may also be considered).
Solid understanding of financial statements, corporate valuation, and investment principles.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar databases preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Professional Certifications (Preferred)
Advanced: CFA (Level I or above) are advantageous
